This was the first set of brand guidelines that I decided to research, I felt this was a good one to research as their brand guidelines shows everything from typography to photography which can be a big help for me to write my own brand guidelines.

This is the typography that they use which is known as ‘IBM Plex’ this typeface is made up of sub families including, IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono, IBM Plex Serif and IBM Plex condensed. I like the way they have included all of the typefaces that show up on their website and word mark as its a good way to let customers know what the typeface is made up of.
As they have mentioned above, their typeface represents their tone of voice and overall who they are as a company and every small detail is done with a purpose which I feel is a good way for their typeface to show that they are unique especially the fact they named the typeface after the company which is also smart to do.

The main colour that most people associate with IBM is the deep royal blue which is a significant feature to their brand it is what customers find easily recognisable about the brand.

This is an image of the entire colour pallet that they use. Although the royal blue is the main colour of their brand they also have a wide range of other colours that they use and I like the fact they have included this to which they have showed every colour variation that has been used.
