I was able to find a Figma template to help me create some brand practice brand guidelineshttps://www.figma.com/community/file/1323989371197883007).

I decided to re create Coca-Cola’s guidelines as I felt they were hard to navigate through so I wanted to have clear sections so viewers will easily understand the parts of the brand.

These are just some screenshots I took of my Figma file, I have created a cover page and a table of content page which the original guidelines that I researched were lacking, this helps viewers understand what they are going to be reading through and an idea of the sections that are in it.

I am aiming to continue a theme throughout this to match with the branding, this makes everything cohesive and easy to read through.

This is my example of the brand guidelines that I wanted to have a go at before I created my own, this is not finished as a lot more would be added to it however, I felt I have enough practice on these ones and I can now start creating my own.

The title page is different to the process images as I wanted something more simple so I got rid of the cans and just settled with the wording and the iconic black stripe in the background. The pages I completed were title page, table of content, introduction, our aim and our values. I unfortunately didn’t get to the logo mark yet but I feel these pages have given me a good idea on what I need to include for my own guidelines and the particular layout as well that I am going to go for.

Like I mentioned above, I struggled to figure out where to start so I was able to get a brand guidelines template from Figma which helped me a lot when creating this, I will probably end up using the same template when it comes to creating my own as it has the different section laid out for me to edit on top of.

I feel these guidelines were a good practice run of how I go about creating this and it was also a good learning curve as I had changed the front design from complex to a simple design so I now know that simplicity works the best in this.

What am I including in my own guidelines?
