This project was good for me to understand all of the various aspects to creating a re-brand. I firstly went into thinking of the names of my new library and because of class/tutor feedback I was able to find a name which suits me the best.
I enjoyed creating a wordmark and monogram of MindScape and thinking of various colour pallets that would work the best for this. I feel my final deliverables turned out great for my first re-brand but there is always room for improvement. These final deliverables included a full set of brand guidelines - these turned out well but I wish I had more information to include into these, I do feel however I included the main points of information to make it still feel completed.
I created a Landing page and 3 app screens, I like my landing page I actually don’t have any changes I would personally make for this but, for the app screens I wish I had more time to create more screens so everything was clickable like the maps button, my books and the account button. I like the fact my colour pallet is consistent throughout every final deliverable I made as it makes everything look cohesive to each other.
Creating a re-brand was something very new to me and there are a lot of aspects that I had to take into account when doing this, but I feel it was a great learning curve for me if I ever have to create something like this again. The hardest part of this project that I found was actually coming up with the perfect colour pallet which I have always found difficult as I am never sure what look good in an app or even a wordmark. I do feel however, that even though I find this difficult it turned out well and it works well across everything that I made and fits within the MindScape brand which is calming and inviting.
Overall, this project had a lot of different areas that I needed to complete for the deadline but I handled it well, by spreading each project out and not focusing on everything at once which can fault the way my designs and research turn out. My final deliverables fit the brief and I am overally happy with how I approached this!
